Synthetic Drone Reeds
These reeds are so easy to get going. No Blowing in. Plug and play. After about five minutes playing, the chanter reed is settled and the drones tuned at this stage will not need tuning again. I recently played at a funeral and anyone who has done this knows you do not get much chance to tune up. I tuned up before the funeral, played for about five minutes, hung around for 45 minutes and had to play again. After about half a minute the chanter reed had warmed up and the pipes were perfectly in tune.
